Payment reminders are designed to do the chasing for you. For those clients who didn’t spot the original Digital Practice payment link message or got distracted before actioning it, our reminder will give them a nudge and save you a phone call.
Payment reminders are turned on as default for all new Digital Practice clinics.
A payment reminder is sent at 23.5 hours after the original payment link was sent and remains unpaid.
The payment reminder will contain:
'pay now' button (contains original payment request link)
'talk to us' quick reply button
Snooze
Manage preferences
Reminder text:
Hi {{client name}}, in case you missed it, we sent you a request for payment. You can pay us securely using the button below, or let us know if you've already paid by other means. If you have any questions, reply to us here. Thank you, [Clinic name]
Note: Recommend that clinics not use 24hr payment expiry.
Customisation
Payment reminder customisation is possible, if required please contact support@digitalpractice.vet who can action this for you.
It is possible to customise:
Text wording displayed to clients
Quick reply buttons
How long after the original payment request is sent that the reminder should follow on.
Note: A clinic can have multiple different payment reminder message templates created and therefore can have any number of messages triggered at different frequencies.
‘Send reminders’ checkbox on payment request
Clinics have the ability to stop a payment reminder from being sent for a specific payment request. The payment request screen in Digital Practice has a setting ‘Send reminder(s)’
This setting is ticked by default to allow payment reminders to be sent as standard.
The clinic has the ability to untick this setting on specific payment requests if they wish to NOT send a follow up payment reminder for the specific request. (This could be used where the scenario requires sensitivity, such as a payment for euthanasia, etc).
Note: All broadcasts with payments will get reminders. There is currently no ability to specify in a broadcast with payment, if reminder should not be sent.
Payment reminders also have standard native reminders functionality. For information, see: What are the standard functionalities across digital practice native reminders?
